Pistons' Bobi Klintman: Heading to Detroit

    16m ago

Klintman was selected by the Pistons with the No. 37 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Pistons made a trade with Minnesota to acquire the No. 37 pick, which they're using to draft Klintman, a wing player who played for Cairns Taipans of the NBL last year after playing collegiately at Wake Forest. Over 23 appearances in the NBL last season, he averaged 9.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game. Klintman is a solid defender and has shown some promise as a shooter, so he could be a decent two-way contributor at some point.

  • Kyle Filipowski NBADRAFT PF

Filipowski was drafted by the Jazz with the No. 32 overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Filipowski spent two years at Duke before entering the NBA Draft. As a sophom*ore in 2023-24, he averaged 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.1 steals in 36 games. At 7-foot, Filipowski also has the ability to stretch the floor, as he converted 34.8 percent of his 3.1 three-point attempts per contest last year. While the 20-year-old big man will have to earn his playing time early on, a future frontcourt with Lauri Markkanen, Taylor Hendricks and Filipowski could offer a stout interior defense while also maintaining ideal spacing on the offensive end.

Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Goes 31st to Toronto

    44m ago

Mogbo was selected by the Raptors with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Mogbo played two years of junior college basketball before spending a year at Missouri State and finishing out at San Francisco last season. In 2023-24, Mogbo posted 14.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 63.6 percent from the field. At 6-6 with a 7-3 wingspan, Mogbo is somewhat of a hybrid, capable of playing both on and off the ball and defending multiple positions. At the NBA level, Mogbo will likely be a defense-first, energy player who does the little things. At this stage in his development, Mogbo is essentially a non-shooter outside of the paint.

  • Jalen McDaniels TOR PF

Kings' Jalen McDaniels: Headed to Sacramento

    2h ago

The Raptors traded McDaniels to the Kings in exchange for Davion Mitchell, Sasha Vezenkov, the No. 45 pick in 2024 NBA Draft and a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft via Portland on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

During his first year in Toronto, McDaniels served as depth in the team's forward rotation. In 2023-24, he averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.8 minutes across 50 appearances, including one start. However, the 25-year-old mightily struggled with his efficiency, posting 34.4/16.9/73.0 shooting splits. If McDaniels isn't able to drastically increase his offensive output, he will likely struggle to find minutes in Sacramento.

Raptors' Sasha Vezenkov: Shipped to Toronto

    2h ago

The Kings traded Vezenkov, Davion Mitchell, the No. 45 pick in 2024 NBA Draft and a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft via Portland to the Raptors in exchange for Jalen McDaniels on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Vezenkov made 42 appearances for the Kings in 2023-24, averaging 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.2 minutes on 44.0/37.5/80.0 shooting splits. While Vezenkov has shown the ability to be a quality floor-spacer at the forward position, there is no guarantee he will receive a significant uptick in playing time in Toronto.

  • Ryan Dunn PHO PF

Suns' Ryan Dunn: Lands with Suns at No. 28

    18h ago

Dunn was selected by the Suns with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

The sophom*ore out of Virginia is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the draft. At 6-foot-6 with a wingspan north of 7-foot-1, Dunn can guard multiple positions and is an excellent rim protector for his size. Last season, Dunn posted 1.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per game in 27.5 minutes to go with 8.1 points and 6.9 rebounds. At this stage, Dunn's offensive game is limited, but the Suns won't ask him to do much on that end.
