Hey you guys, I've posted this to say that (in my opinion) that the Crimson is a bit better then having corruption(loot-wise). Crimerite armour, for example is better then shadow armour because of the health regen. The Crimerite pickaxe is slightly better, as is the bow. Reply to this and give your own opinion, and answer the poll. Thanks, and may the force be with you!

Yes I also prefer crimson over corruption. Crimson orbs things are easier to get to than shadow orbs in the corruption. I prefer the crimson armour than shadow armour. The hardmode corruption is very annoying as it has corruptors and the flying slime enemies while the hardmode crimson has blood jelly (not that there is much water in the crimson inanyway) herpling (which can be annoying as they are agile but not that hard) and crimslimes (which are not that hard) The hardmode crimson also has the golden shower which I prefer a lot more over the cursed flames as it weakens the enemies defense. I use it all the time during my boss fights. There is also the ichor sticker in the hardmode crimson (which can be hard) and the worm-like enemy in the hardmode corruption(forgot his name because reasons)(it is also hard but not as hard as the ichor sticker) Even still I prefer crimson because both enemies are rare to find.

Indeed, and pre-hardmode the Crimson loot from the orbs, like the spear, are just good to use. The only exception is the vilethorn, which is very good early on.

Corruption, because it is a better atmosphere with more entertaining mobs to fight (barring the boss, but EoW is pretty outdated).

Don't underestimate the Musket. It's essentially a pre-HM sniper and can potentially one-hit some enemies with criticals.

I like the corruption because it was the original, and just seems nicer than the Crimson.
I like the Crimson because it's boss can be beaten with the tools it gives you, making a 'BoC in 1 Night' really easy.
srsly though, Crimson, stahp ruining my worlds

The same could be said with EoW (Ball of Hurt/Vilethorn)

I like Crimson because Brain of Cthulhu. Also Crimson Rod. And in Hardmode, Ichor.

Crimson. Ichor is so much more useful than Cursed Flames. If they however would find a good way to balance their differences out I'd pretty much be a tie between the two.

Ever since the much better Frostburn was introduced, which you can inflict with only an Ice Block, a Torch and a few Arrows, Cursed Inferno has basically become useless. And don't even get me started with Venom...

The Crimson is just better. The style, the music, the post-plantera drops (vampire knives are definitely OP), and the monsters. The Corruption just feels old,and MY GOD THE HOLES.

Well guys, I do admit that the corruption has a nicer feel, but how many times as a noob have you fallen into the chasms?

I end up enjoying corruption more when I play, but crimsons gear is so much better thats usually go with. Voted for corruption because fun is awesome.

it does get slightly annoying when you have a corruption and you read on the wiki that crimson worlds have better stuff (although corruption can get you vilethorn which is awesome).

Crimson's slightly better stats on weapons and armor is similar to the new 1.2 ores being better than the others (Tin>Copper, Platinum>Gold, etc.) I do agree that Ichor is better than Cursed Flames by a large margin. Both bosses are pretty easy, although I'd say BoC is harder if you're new to the game.
One thing that makes Crimson a bit more annoying than Corruption is the necessity of building some kind of platform system in the main area, especially when you have spiders coming at you from all angles. Although, having played lategame in Corruption and Crimson I think the underground Corruption hardmode enemies are a bit more annoying.
Corruption does have one thing over Crimson. Band of Starpower.
Crimson does have one thing over Corruption. Vampire Knives.

When I was new to terraria after watching a lets play of a corruption world and I stumbled upon the crimson and a crimera killed me......
Well, it made me hate the crimson. I played corruption after making a new world and enjoyed it, but now that I look back on it after learning about those vampire knives I regret it.
Also, recently made a crimson world with my friend irl and we play that, and fighting the BoC was more fun than the EoW, and the pre hardmode version of the nimbus rod is mmmm.
